11/11/2011 Successful Over-60s lunch
A second lunch for Over-60s OPs was held at the Turf Club in central London on November 10th.

A full house of 34 OPs plus the Headmaster Thomas Garnier and the Honorary Vice President of the OP Society Lionel Stephens attended the lunch which had been organised by Turf Club member and OP Soc. chairman Mark Dumas (64-68).

A number of OPs travelled long distances to be present including Joe Sievier (57-61) from Stratford upon Avon, Sandy Fleming (42-44) from Northern Ireland and James Allenby (57-61) from Devon.

Others present included Bob Fidler (44-48), James Maitland (56-61), Mark Corby (64-68), Michael Penney (43-45), Andrew Gordon-Lennox (62-65), Chris Mullins (53-56), Christopher Daniel (47-51), Peter Broadbent (55-59), Falcon Collings (60-65) and John Harris (62-67).

Mark Dumas began the proceedings by welcoming the guests. He went on to highlight a special publication shortly to be made available to OPs - a compilation of articles from the OP Magazine about life at Pangbourne over the years. This has been collected and sponsored by Ian Lindsay (45-49) in Australia. He then introduced the Headmaster who outlined the new building projects going on at the College at the moment and also talked about the great season currently being enjoyed by the rugby 1st XV.

Lunch was then served and the last guests were still leaving the Turf Club at 4.00pm - a good time was had by all!

Photos of the lunch (rather dark - the camera flashlight did not operate correctly) can be viewed in the Gallery.
