Founder's Day 2011
17/05/2011
All OPs most welcome to attend Founder's Day on Saturday 2nd July 2011
Founder's Day at the College is always a special event. This year a special effort is being made to include as many former pupils as possible in the celebrations.
Big Side has been designated as a specific area at which OPs can enjoy the pleasure of meeting old friends whilst enjoying their picnics. Parking for OPs will be available on Bowden as the campus is a 'car free' zone on Founder's Day. Tea will be provided during the afternoon but the HM requests that OPs bring their own picnic lunches.
Key OP timings for the day are: Full College Parade 10.00 followed by coffee on Big Side; Picnic lunch & Twenty20 cricket Ops vs the College at 13.15; Tea served on Big Side 14.30 onwards; Exhibitions and presentations including art, music and drama from 14.30 onwards; Beat Retreat 16.30 on the Parade Ground.
Unfortunately space constraints mean that OPs will not be able to attend Prize Giving at 11.00 which has to be restricted to pupils, staff and current parents.
The Guest of Honour this year will be Colonel Alastair Bruce of Crionaich OBE who is a Trustee of the Falklands Islands Memorial Chapel, a Falklands veteran and a commentator on state occasions on BBC and Sky.
