Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson triumph in the Star class at the World Cup in Mallorca.
Despite an eight-month absence from international Star competition Olympic gold medallists Percy & Simpson "knocked spots off their world-class rivals" in the Princess Sofia regatta in early April in Majorca.
Winning both Star class races in breezy conditions on Day One from a field of 32 competitors, the pair had an eleventh place on Day Two before reclaiming pole position on Day Three and then moving well ahead of their rivals on Day Four. By Day Six the pair had a massive 27-point lead going into the final race and could not be defeated overall.
